p o i s o n f l o w dj / producers gary j robinson and jonathon vaughn began their musical journey back in 1998 by creating live drum & bass act 'rareform' on the new vision recordings label along with fellow band members, mc manik d and dj lunar.

three years and many good memories of live pa's later, the boys are enjoying the success and recognition they gained on the underground drum & scene with their many 12" singles, compilation appearances and a very successful remix cd.

p o i s o n f l o w however early 2001 saw the birth of a new live project for band members gary j robinson and jonathon vaughn.

in orderto support their growing need to experiment in other forms of hard edged dance music, the boys decided to create anew sound based on their production experiences from rareform, combined with their many influences from outside of the drum & bass scene.

poisonflow was the name given to an early rareform remix on the new vision label. the 'poisonflow remix' being the dark side of the release, infecting the original track with vicous dance floor hatred wrapped around layers of disturbing atmospheres and earth shattering break beats.

p o i s o n f l o w the poisonflow tag stuck with rareform for some time so it was only natural for the boys to use this as the title for their new live outfit.

poisonflow would represent the future of their sound. only tracks with impact, emotion and devastating dance floor beats would make it to the ranks with genre being unimportant.

the planned album would be a musical journey of different styles from hard house to drum & bass, hip hop to prodigy beats and rock n roll.

p o i s o n f l o w their lp 'urban sickness' was 12 months in development and shaped up to be even more seminal than the boys could have imagined.

with every track being stronger than the last, poisonflow's blend of hard beats and breaks over rock guitars, spine-chilling melodies and haunting vocals proved to have massive impact with the various labels that got to listen to the early demos.

p o i s o n f l o w in mid 2002 the boys signed the album to london based kickin records. set for an early 2003 release, poisonflow are currently in the studio working with producers ju & lordy from supernature on getting their production and mix downs 100%.

in addition to their lp the band have recently been collaborating with bristol based metal / electro beats band 'soundisciples'.

the poisonflow remixes of 'angels kiss' by the soundisciples not only featured on the their new album ' audio manifesto ' but on altd edition 12" from new vision recordings receiving some exciting reviews in the press who were taken by surprise at the unusual blend of rock / metal over the classic dance floor drum & bass format.

poisonflow's live debut at londons cargo club earlier this year whent down a storm with the combination of live keys, guitar, drums, scratch dj, vocals and drum & bass mc proving to be a breath of fresh air.

the band are currently back in rehearsals for their live show and are in talks with a number of agents and managers with the aim of getting the live show on the road for late 2002 / early 2003 to coincide with the release of the first single from the album 'ode to the enemy'.
