After a succession of releases on Moving Shadow, In 1995 Dev and Trax set up their own Stronghold and Offsett Recordings labels, achieving success and gathering valuble industry experience.
New artist guises surfaced in 1996 in the forms of 'Alaska' and 'Paradox'. Dev wanted to show his diversity by creating his different genre's of drumfunk with Alaska being the ambient monkier of the two and Paradox exploring the drum patterns of 1970's funk. Into 2002 and Dev has now recorded for over an amazing 20 record labels including 4-Hero's legendary Reinforced Records, LTJ Bukem's Good Looking, Certificate 18, Partisan, Renegade Hardware, Timeless, Total Science's CIA, Blame's 720 Degrees, Nexus, Droppin Science, Subject 13's Vibez Recordings, Twisted Funk, Toshiba-EMI, Ninebar, Sonica, 2000 Black, Sheebeen, Form-3, Holland's Rush Hour Records, New York's Offshore Recordings, and Italy's Archive Records. Music collaborations have included artists such as Nucleus, EZ Rollers, Flytronix, Subject 13 and Volcov.
Paradox remixing duties include 4-Hero for Talkin Loud/Mercury, Yasushi Ide for Warner Brothers, Boom Boom Satelites for Sony/Epic, Justice, James Hardway, NXS, Blue, Trax for Lacerba and Japanese Manga Cartoon Company Marine Entertainment/Avex inc. After 60 general releases and 4 albums Dev has projected his Drumworks onto the Live stage. You can catch Paradox's 2-hour Live show truely Worldwide. Dev recently performed his 43rd live performance this year. Paradox has headlined live shows in Tokyo-Japan, Reykjavik-Iceland, San Francisco-USA, Berlin-Germany, Vienna-Austria, Toronto-Canada, Rega-Latvia, Zurich-Switzerland, Florida-USA, Milan-Italy and Ireland's Dublin and that's just a few!.
Paradox is also endorsed on tour by Acupuncture footwear, Bloc Eyewear, Aerosoul and Firetrap clothing. To showcase these performances the new 'What you don't know' Paradox LP on Reinforced comes with a computer DVD that takes you inside the outsider and features live performances from all over the globe from America to Japan.
Never wanting to be pigeon- holed, Dev has entered the computer game market by designing Interactive music for a Arcade game in Tokyo for Konami / Sony Playstation. Dev's very own labels 'Paradox Music' and 'Outsider' are to surface soon and will showcase new and old faces from around the breakbeat world. 2003 is approaching fast and there are too many projects in the pipeline for Alaska and Paradox. LP's are planned for both artists plus a very special breakbeat sampler series entitled 'Paradox Breaks Vol.1' due to surface on a 'special' label in 2003.
